Harvest
Monthly 24-hour adoration will take place in St Mary’s Church, Friday & Saturday 26th/27th, 12 noon – 12 noon
St. Padre Pio Feast Day A mass celebrating the Feast of St. Padre Pio will take place on Tuesday evening, 23rd of September at 7.30 pm, in St. Mary’s Chruch . After mass, St. Padre Pio’s glove will be available to anyone wishing to be blessed.

Father Simon Young will be leaving us at the end of September. We thank you for the work you have done with us these past few months, and we wish you well in your ministry in your home country of Myanmar. You will be missed by us, and rest assured, there will be a great Irish welcome for you if you ever get the chance to return
Funeral Recordings Edenderry Parish can now offer mass recordings through MCN Media. This service allows families and friends who cannot attend in person to experience the service at a later time, ensuring that everyone has a chance to pay their respects and reflect on the life of their loved one. Recordings of funerals are only available when requested in advance by the bereaved family or the funeral director.–
Feast of St. Francis of Assisi (4th Oct). Blessing of pets will take place on Sunday, 5th October, details to follow
Harvest Thanksgiving Mass ………… Will be held on Sunday, 5th October. This year, produce will be displayed in the Mortuary Chapel due to the ongoing restoration work in the church.
Padre Pio Pilgrimage to Knock takes place on Sunday, September. Seating is limited. Contact 086-8447326
Confessions will be before Mass on Saturday evenings at 6.30
Padre Pio Rosary The monthly Padre Pio Rosary will be on the 14th at 3.30 pm, Padre Pio’s glove will be available.

There will be no morning Mass this Friday, the 22nd of August, due to a funeral. Funeral mass will be at 12noon

World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly 2025. This weekend, we celebrate the fifth World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly. It also serves as a reminder for us to care and cherish those in our lives. The theme for 2025 is ” Blessed are those who have not lost hope”. We have grandparents from our Parish lighting a candle for all these wonderful people in our lives.
Church Refurbishment & Webcam The work has started on the church, some disruption is expected. Mass will continue daily. It is not in the main Church but in the Nun’s side Chapel on the right of the building. The WebCam will not be available for daily mass, you will be able to view it for weekend masses and funerals.
The WebCam Analytics for July 2024-2025 This is a report on the views we have had on the webcam over the past year. In total 29 countries have viewed our mass, these countries are Ireland, Germany, U.K., Spain, U.S.A., Australia, Canada, Sweden, Faroe Island, France, Italy, Pakistan, Portugal, Hungry, New Zealand, Poland, Romania, Turkey, Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Lithuania, Moldova, Norway, Slovakia and Switzerland. From all these countries we has 13700 mass views.
Edenderry Historical Society Trip to Emo Court & Parklands 31/07/25 bus leaves the Parish Centre at 1.30pm sharp. The fare is €30 this includes a tour of the house, tea & scones, all names to Cherry 087-2578752 or Tom 086-02034815
Monthly 24hour Adoration will take place on Friday 25th 12noon to Sunday 26th 12 noon.
Church Refurbishment The contractors have started work in the church, some disruption to our routine can be expected over the coming weeks. Starting from Monday July 21st, daily mass will not be in the main church, instead it will be in the nun’s side chapel on the right hand side of the church.
Road Closure A full road closure on Sunday 13th July 9.30am – 11.30am. No traffic will be allowed from Killane Cross to Sweeney’s between 10am -11.30am please use an alternate route.
Friends of St. Pio Rosary – The monthly St. Pio rosary will take place in St. Mary’s Church Sunday 13th July @3.30. Afterwards St Pio’s glove will be available for who ever wishes to be blessed.
There will be week day mass this week 07th -10th July at 10am
Congratulation to our commissioned Lay Ministers who celebrated a “Service of the Word & Holy Communion” on the 1st of July, a first for out parish. Ideally, we would of course wish to celebrate Mass and Eucharist every day, Deacon Paul said but when this is not possible we should remember that where 2 or 3 are gathered in his name, Christ will be there too.

Saturday 12th July is the feast day of St, Louis & St. Zelie Martin – the parents of St. Therese of Lisieux. It is the 10th anniversary of their canonisation. We will be having a special Mass at 10am celebrated by Bishop Tom Deenihan (Bishop Of Meath). Relics available for veneration from 11am-9.30pm with another Mass being held at 7pm. We will also have an exhibition of historical items from the life of St. Therese and the Martin family from 11-9.30pm entry is free, this is all taking place at the Carmelite Church Kildare Town, White Abby, R51 K379
